The Tsurumaki hot water, welling up from the depths under the Tanzawa mountain massif, is reknowned to be one of the world's foremost calcium-rich hot springs.

Our fountainhead was the first to obtain authorization as a source of drinking water in Kanagawa Prefecture.
The mild, fresh and soft hot water, containing Calcium and Natrium, is said to have the same chemical effect as that of rinsing your skin with a regular soap.
You are only to go inside the bathtub after having washed your body. First, you are to rinse your body with hot water. Washing beforehand helps to keep the water in the bathtub clean.
The rinsing and washing of your body with hot water also acclimatizes you to the actual temperature of the water of the bathtub. It is not advisable to jump into the water. Please use discretion.
Bring a small towel (which will be provided), and please do not put the hand towel into the bathtub water. Most people place the towel on their head. And remember, do not use any soap, shampoo or other skin cleansers in the bathtub.
To retain the vitality and the lingering effects of the hot-spring water, it is better not to wash your body, by shower or hot water directly, after leaving the bathtub.
